Nice post Spatiopathe.
I've done similar. Trained social 5 so get the full +25% standing gain while doing missions, trained lvl 5 support skills so get the +50% lp gain, use a lvl 4 ql 18 agent in 0.6 sec and have a nice safe hi-sec area.
I chose a less 'kill' agent in a better corp with better bpc's which reward better isk/lp. I have an admin agent which this/that post says is 50% courier when infact the actual % is around 20%. Since one can do 'kill' missions faster (and admin are 50% courier) I can still average 10,000 isk/hr/char while looting and salvaging everything using cruiser hulls. Blitzing is about double that.
If you use buy orders to buy components for your lp you will make more isk. If you train a little trade skills you can do this remotely while your missioning, as you can with manufaturing and r&d - ie no time lost as you do the tinkering while warping. Of course some insist that doing 'trade' while warping has a cost in time, and you could do more missions while you are already warping to a mission ... Some insist you have to use some magic formulae which isn't the simple cost less expense = profit. You have to use Jita prices as travelling 10-20 jumps to Jita, buying components at more expensive prices, selling at less value as somehow less profit is better isk/lp. when you just buy stuff, use your costs, sell stuff and use your sell prices, you do exactly the same except the jita bugs feel you need to hide your profit from yourself.
You can find what someone is trading in-game by just looking up what a trader character is into. You can find where a mission runner is missioning by looking in-game at what standings a mission runner of a trader has 10.0 standings for. If your not prepared to do that, just consider what faction items you want (best of the factions for whatever job) and then look into those. If you want a factional item, probably a market for it as others may want it too. Generally the different navies have the worse lp stores, and if can get a 5 run bpc for the same faction item it will be better than buying just the module. High manufacturing skills? Lvl 1 manufacturing is enough for lp store module making with no waste and this takes only a few minutes training.
